SUSTAINABLITY PROJECTS AND PROGRAMMES FOR LUKETEKELO FAMILY FOUNDATION.

Updated: Aug 13, 2023

For the past 7 yrs. We have been indirect impacting our communities through community outreach programs in Lusaka and North-western province and we had partnered with Umoyo widows and orphanage ,Beautiful beginning foundation and Luwi lwa Nzambi orphanage by providing food, school supplies and mentorship program. However, we need to start impacting lives directly by having a permanent facility to continue and grow our essential work with vulnerable Children, youths and women in the North-western and Lusaka province of Zambia – Such as constructing a home for the most vulnerable children, vocational training center for the most vulnerable youths and women.

This year 2023 skills empowerment programmes are currently being held in the home house of the founder and it is small for learning environments and it limits the support we can provide.

As the foundation, we managed to buy land of 190 hectors where we have even started stumping out trees using the local people which is one way of empowering them. Our wish is to have a sustainable project which means we need to start with AGRICULTURAL project, which will enable us to have a long term generating income for us to construct a home ,vocation training center and other needed facilities and support the most vulnerable

children in an hostically way.

CHICKEN BARN

The agricultural industry of which poultry farming and egg production is a subset of is no doubt among the leading industry in most countries of the world; it is the industry that produces chicken and eggs for the populace.

Because of the significant role the agriculture sector plays, We need to build up a chicken barn at the farm land we had just purchased so that we sell eggs and meat as a way for generating money to construct other Facilites we have just mentioned above and also use the income to support our communities.

Our mission is to be a self sustaining non-profit organisation and also use some meat to feed our the children.

The government of most countries ensures that they go all the way to subsidize fertilizers, Chicken barn will allow us to make our own fertilizer for our plants and also encourage entrepreneurs to go into commercial farming (poultry farming inclusive).

The other thing we need is a Green house which will give us the ability to grow wide variety of plants and experimenting with exotic plants that are not found in our local in our community and also all allow us to train our local peasant farmers.

We aim to export some of our plants to different countries and sell locally to generate an income for sustaining our community projects.

The vocational training center for women empowerment in North-western Zambia will consist following departments, Tailoring and designing, carpentry, agriculture, craft and art, Make-up artist ,metal fabricating, computer training and Psychology counseling for teens and Vulnerable Women . We will use this center to empower vulnerable child mothers , women with disability, youths and widow. To ensure earning ability and self-reliance program in Lusaka and North-western so that the lives of the people of the North-Western province are improved socially, economically, and sustainably.

We are looking for funds and partnerships to ensure that the dream for vulnerable children and women becomes a reality. Together we can be the change and make this dream become a reality.
