a letter from our founder
Dear Friends,
The growth of our Foundation means we continuously increase our impact and the positive effects of our programs. Luketekelo means (Faith),and everything we do is done by faith in Jesus Christ. We rely completely on Him—trusting in His infinite power, intelligence, provisions and love so what does it mean to us and all the people involved in our Foundation? “You cannot get through a single day without having faith that someone’s life will be impacted on the world around you. What you do makes a difference, and you have to decide what kind of difference you want to make.” – Jane Goodall. We've been making the kind of difference we believe in for a generation.
Impact is a long-term change, and this is so relevant to us, as we want to have a long-term effect on the people and the beautiful Zambian environment especially in Lusaka, Central and North-western Provinces. Luketekelo initiatives encompass Planning, Rescuing, Restoration, Equipping, Protection,Prevention
(3P2R1E). To safeguard the rights, safety, well- being, dignity and development of children. We provide holistic care and protection to vulnerable children who include orphans, street kids, child mothers, neglected and abused teenagers, and others. We can achieve sustainable peace and a secure environment if we devotedly help and transform the lives of needy children and youths because it cures hate and prevents Crime and creating opportunities for for them.
“It is easier to build strong children than to repair broken adults "As you are reading this, you are either involved or interested in getting involved with our Foundation and in turn will play a role in this long-term impact. Whether it is providing better education, creating safe spaces for knowledge sharing, support with funds, or funding equipment that assists us in getting to our goal, it will all contribute to the long-term impact we work towards every day. What impact means to some of the people involved in our Foundation and a heartfelt thank you to them for sharing this with us.
Thank you to everyone involved in our journey, your belief in us and our work means so much.
Sincerely, Memory Grace Hector
